About

Westchester Clubhouse is a revolutionary approach to mental health. It is a transformative clubhouse experience focusing in on the arts, spearheaded by Rhode Island School of Design alum, Dominik.

We are supported and promoted by several veteran clubhouse members and staff. Our emphasis will be on visual arts, music, and writing.

We welcome people with SMI from all over Westchester County and around the clubhouse world.

Mission

Our mission promotes recovery in people with serious mental illness through absorption in work, socialization and artistic expression. Our virtual clubhouse is seven days a week, with flexible hours.

Vision

We envisioned and created a mental health clubhouse run primarily by its members, that helps heal them psychologically and develops them as artists and full human beings.

Values

We value freedom, autonomy, creativity, community, professional development and effective mental health treatment.

Why We’re Leading a Movement of Changes for the Better

Our Clubhouse will promote and utilize the arts, along with traditional clubhouse work, as a means of catalyzing community connection, self-discovery, and self-expression to measurably improve the mental health and  lives of its members. Clubhouse is revolutionary in itself, but our House will take it one step further by emphasizing artistic experimentation, exploration and growth.

Our Impact and Renaissance

We intend to reduce cyclical hospitalizations, decrease loneliness, build confidence, instill direction and promote artistic growth and earning power in our members.

What We Do

We use traditional and creative work and socialization as a modality for promoting recovery for members with SMI. We are in the planning stage for various therapeutic programs including but not limited to:

  1. Glass Blowing Studios
  2. A Writing Center and Workshop
  3. A Music Studio
  4. Ceramics and Woodshop
  5. Poetry and Prose Classes accessible to all
  6.  The Work Ordered Day

Where We Work

We are a Clubhouse for the Arts and are currently virtual. We intend to secure physical space(s) shortly…
