Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Westchester Clubhouse for the Arts wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we have done

  • Clear headings and a simple page structure
  • Text descriptions (alt text) for photos
  • Visible outlines that show where you are when using a keyboard
  • Form fields with clear labels
  • Large buttons and a large menu button for touch screens
  • Colors with strong contrast
  • Plain, easy-to-read language wherever we can
  • Notice when a link opens another website in a new tab

We check the site with accessibility testing tools and review it by hand on computers and phones.

Known limitations

Some content comes from other websites that we do not control, such as our donation page (Zeffy), the Fountain House calendar, and Instagram. These sites have their own accessibility features and limits.

Some older pages may still have areas we are working to improve.

Tell us if something is not working

If any part of this website is hard to use, please let us know. Email us at [email protected] and tell us the page and the problem. We will try to fix it, and we can also send you the information in another way that works for you.

We aim to reply within a few business days.
